This breathtaking necklace was inspired by the stunningly beautiful blue tones of the interior of the “Blue Grotto” or “Grotta Azzura” on the Isle of Capri.
The Grotta Azzura” is known the world over for its blue toned interior and for the magical light created by the objects in the water in its cave. The intense blue shades are created by the daylight which enters via an underwater opening located immediately below the entrance to the cave. The daylight is then filtered by the water which absorbs the red tones, leaving only the blue ones to pass into the cave.

Representing the splendor of “Grotta Azzura” we present a shimmering strand of faceted Swarovski crystals—in the color “Capri”—accented by 14K Gold-Filled pebbles. Sparkling in the center is another element of nature -- a real, hand picked Cottonwood leaf, which has been electroformed—delicately hand painted with copper, then dipped into pure 24K Gold—to preserve the veining and natural beauty that Mother Nature bestowed upon it. While each necklace features a similarly sized leaf, no two leaves are alike, making each necklace unique and one-of-a-kind.

Finished with 14K Gold-Filled elements including a spring ring clasp.
